I have a Wells Fargo Student Loan. Apparently anyone can go to the US Post office (or online) and in an identity theft bid, change your address with $5 and without your knowledge. When Wells Fargo gets mail returned as a result of a change of address with the post office, they AUTOMATICALLY update the WITHOUT notifying the account holder or even a cofirmation letter sent to the current address.

The problem of course is this, as it was in my case. If all of your payments are set up on automatic payment through your bank and the BANK HAS AN ERROR, which they acknowledge and fix. Bank of America still charges you late fees stating that the error was not their banks fault.

They refuse to accept responsibility for the FACT that had they not incorrectly and without your consent changed your address you would have been aware of the bank error in enough time to fix it.

Wells Fargo is a horrible bank
